BURLINGTON, Vt. -
EMTs enjoyed free admission Thursday
at ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center in Burlington.
Vermont first responders were invited
to the "Our Body" exhibit now on display.
EMTs say it gives them a much better
understanding of what's going on inside the body.
"We can see and hear
what the patients are telling us on the outside, but what's actually going on
and what they're saying, and we can kind of relate it to the muscle groups
underneath or the spine, with any sort of injury or illness," said
Nathaniel Donley, an EMT from Groton.
Members of the Vermont
National Guard medical unit were also on hand. They brought their Red Cross
Humvee and human patient simulator.
The "Our Body"
exhibit runs at ECHO through Sept. 3.
