A banner year for Dartmouth College.

HANOVER, N.H. -

The Ivy league school received a record-- 171-point-5 MILLION dollars in total philanthropic support for the 2012 fiscal year. The new record represents a 16-point-4 percent increase over last year. The gifts support key areas such as financial aid, faculty, the arts, athletics, and a host of programs that enhance the student experience.

Interim President Carol Folt says, "The unprecedented generosity reflects the positive momentum generated on campus over the last year, and anticipates the inspirational course we are setting going forward."
