SARANAC LAKE, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a boy has escaped serious injury after being thrown from a boat into an Adirondacks Lake.
State police and forest rangers tell the Adirondack Daily Enterprise that the 12-year-old was tossed into Saranac Lake by a large wave and rescued by relatives after being clipped by the propeller on the boat's 25-horsepower motor.
Firefighters called to the scene around midday Monday were able to stop the boat, which they found circling nearby.
