Two children were found safe and sound after running away in the middle of the night and making it five miles from their home.
Vermont State police say the 8 and 12-year-old children left their home in Charlotte around 11 p.m. Monday. They were found about 3.5 hours later in Shelburne.
Police are still investigating why the kids left, noting that there had been an altercation with their father described as "rough horse play."
