Protest buffer zone starts at Planned Parenthood in Burlington

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Starting Wednesday, protesters must keep their distance around Planned Parenthood in Burlington.

Every Wednesday, anti-abortion protesters demonstrate in front the organization on St. Paul Street. A new ordinance creates a so called "safety zone" 35 feet from the building's entrance and driveway.

The action was taken to protect patients from harrassment while still allowing the protesters to be seen and heard.
