BENNINGTON, Vt. -
Bennington wants to quadruple the amount of money lent to local businesses.
The town's loan program currently allows businesses to borrow $25,000 at a time, the town manager hopes to push that number to $100,000.
According to the Bennington Banner, they also want stricter limitations on who can borrow this money.
To apply each business would have to prepare an in-depth plan for the use of that loan and collateral they'll offer against the loan.
