Turning cow manure into renewable energy -- it's called Cow Power.
Allison Gillette of Ludlow is documenting this concept and wants to take it to classrooms around New England.
Cow Power is a feature-length documentary telling the story of a process that turns cow manure into renewable energy, saving farms and our environment.
Some of Vermont's major businesses like Long Trail Brewery and Green Mountain College are powered by cow manure. Without this program, it could have been the end of some dairy farms in Vermont.
This film highlights the story in an attempt to spread the Cow Power program across the United States and one day account for 10 percent of the nation's energy needs.
