BERLIN, Vt. -
Police say a roommate dispute escalated to a violent beating.
Investigators say 30-year-old Shane Moody's former roommate, and two other men, beat him with their fists and a frying pan at a home on Route 302 in Berlin. Police aren't sure what sparked the fight. They've heard conflicting stories about drugs and rent money.
Moody was treated and released from the hospital.
His former roommate, David Billings, as well as Michael Lucey and Dylan Dukette are charged with aggravated assault and unlawful restraint.
