SHELBURNE, Vt. -
A Shelburne winery is getting some big time recognition.
Shelburne Vineyard's 2010 Marquette Reserve was named best red wine at the annual International Cold Climate Wine Competition in Minnesota.
"We are thrilled with that. It takes a lot of different components to win a medal like that. One of them is luck. We trellised carefully through the season making sure each cluster was exposed to the wind and the air," said Ken Albert of Shelburne Vineyard.
This is the second consecutive year this wine has won this award. It's the same wine, only it has aged a year longer.
