MONTPELIER, Vt. -

A state agency is looking to help Vermont cities and towns get on the right path when it comes to recreation.

The Vermont Transportation Agency is distributing $2 million in federal funds to any project that expands or creates bicycle and pedestrian paths.

They say the money is a 90-10 match for federal and local dollars. The deadline for those applications is this Friday.
