PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -
Bombardier Transportation is moving forward with its $25 million expansion project in Plattsburgh.
The project was just awarded $2.5 million from the North Country Regional Economic Development Council to help it move forward.
The expansion will create 100 new jobs and will allow Bombardier to retain 288 existing jobs at its production facility. Officials say it will give a much needed economic boost to the region.
The company, headquartered in Montreal, is expected to break ground in the next few months.
