Williston manufacturer sold to NC company

WILLISTON, Vt. -

A Williston sensor manufacturer is being sold to a North Carolina company.

MicroStrain officials say the company will be purchased by LORD Corporation of Cary, N.C.

They say the new owners are committed to growing the workforce and plan to keep it in Vermont. Those workers make sensing systems that help companies reduce maintenance costs and increase safety margins.

Neither company is revealing the purchase price or terms of agreement.
