Fatal crash in Barton

BARTON, Vt. -

A Northeast Kingdom man is dead after a crash in Barton early Thursday morning.

Police say Quinn Finnegan, 23, lost control of his car along Route 16 just after 1 a.m. The vehicle went off the road and over an embankment, hitting several trees before it overturned.

Finnegan was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt. A passenger in the vehicle was buckled up and suffered minor injuries.
