NEWPORT, N.H. (AP) - A grand jury has indicted a New Hampshire man on a charge of first-degree murder in the shooting death of his wife in their Grantham home.
The indictment says James Perriello shot his wife, Natalie Perriello, multiple times in the head the night of April 26. Natalie Perriello was in bed and their 3-year-old son was next to her.
The Sullivan County grand jury indictment handed up Wednesday also charges the 41-year-old Perriello with second-degree murder, saying he recklessly caused his wife's death while showing extreme indifference to human life.
Police have said Perriello told police he "lost his cool" because he believed his wife was having an affair with a younger man she once taught in school.
