NEWPORT, N.H. (AP) - A grand jury has indicted a wheelchair-bound New Hampshire man for second-degree murder for allegedly killing an acquaintance by running him over with his truck.
The Sullivan County grand jury indicted 47-year-old David Carrier Sr. of Claremont on two counts of second-degree murder, for both knowingly and recklessly causing the death of Arthur Desilets April 7.
Prosecutors say Carrier killed the 45-year-old Desilets by hitting him with his Dodge Ram truck at Desilets' home in Claremont.
The indictments were returned Wednesday and were made public by the court Thursday.
Carrier has been wheelchair-bound since a 2007 car accident. He is being held on $250,000 bail.
