STOWE, Vt. -
Thousands of people are flocking to Stowe this weekend for the Celebrate Vermont Festival.
The event kicked off Thursday and will go through the weekend. There are more than 60 Vermont vendors there and workshops will take place at the mountain and at other venues, like the Trapp Family Lodge and Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center.
"I think that Vermonters throughout our history we've always been close to the land. And we've been incredibly entrepreneurial. And that continues, it's really in our DNA," said Bill Schubert, an organizer of the festival.
The Celebrate Vermont Festival ends Sunday with a spit roast of a 1,400-pound steer. Click here for more on the festival.
