
Police say the driver of a car responsible for a crash that killed two people in New Hampshire, and sent several others to the hospital, could not offer an explanation as to what happened.
The accident happened Saturday morning on Route 12. According to New Hampshire State Police, 87 year old Robert Lockerby, of Walpole, New Hampshire, crossed the center line and slammed into several motorcycles.
41 year old Aaron Robar, of Newport, New Hampshire, and 59 year old Gary Champney, of Alstead, both died in the crash.
Five other bikers were injured as well as a passenger in Lockerby's car.
Police say close to 200 bikers were taking part in the Justin Rollins Memorial Ride at the time of the accident.
The cause is still under investigation.
