Vt. woman charged with identity theft

WASHINGTON, Vt. -

Police have made an arrest in a multi-state identity theft case.

22-year-old Thumperlee Marcy of Littleton, New Hampshire got an overdue fuel bill in his mail -- for fuel he says he never purchased.

Police say in April 30-year-old Chrissie Jones of Washington, Vermont walked into the Big Apple gas station on Portland Street in Saint Johnsbury and opened a fuel account, saying she was Marcy -- and used the account to buy gas.

Jones is being charged for false personation, identity theft and grand laceny.
