Chateaugay man charged with killing father

CHATEAUGAY, N.Y. -

An arrest in a northern New York murder case -- police say the son did it.

Forty-eight year-old Dale Jarvis was found dead in July, buried behind his house in Chateaugay. Jarvis had not been seen since February, but his son, 24 year old D.J. Jarvis, told family members that his father had left town.

Authorities say D.J. became an immediate suspect after his father's body was found and he has been jailed on another charge. Now he will be charged with second degree murder for killing Dale Jarvis.
