MONTPELIER, Vt. -
Road work at exit 19 on Interstate 89 is focused on river safety.
Ongoing work at the median and clover leaf is putting in place new holds for stormwater runoff.
It is aimed at preventing the Rugg and Stevens Brooks from flooding. The added material costs $120,000 for work on three different spots.
And on another project, the Vermont Agency of Transportation had to rework some of the original construction of the Interstate 91 South rest stop. They expect it to be open by the first week in October.
