BURLINGTON, Vt. -

A nail-biter in the Democratic race for Vermont attorney general. It was neck and neck all night Tuesday. And as of 11 p.m., it was still too close to call. With 95 percent of the votes in, incumbent Bill Sorrell led challenger T.J. Donovan by a count of 20,639-20,020. Sorrell had 51 percent-- Donovan had 49 percent.

And like this race, the two candidates were close all night. Sorrell and Donovan held their campaign parties right next door to each other.

With the vote so tight, neither candidate was ready to concede.

"There are all these folks who show up and are with you 100 percent, and it means so much to you. And I want you to know in a fight like this, you find out who your friends are," Sorrell said.

"I'm not ready to concede. Not when you start down 26 points, not with a week to go you're down 20, We're in this, we're gonna win it. Stay with me till we make history tonight, guys. Thank you so much," Donovan said.
