Plans to control sea lamprey in the Winooski river are on hold.
State officials had planned to treat the river on Wednesday but low water levels have delayed the effort.
Lamprey are parasites that weaken and kill large fish, harming the ecosystem and the fishing industry.
A new date to treat the Winooski has not been scheduled.
