Police arrest Pownal stabbing suspect

POWNAL, Vt. -

Police have arrested a Pownal man wanted in a stabbing.

Investigators say Brian Lemaire, 32, got into an argument with Tommy Himes, 38, Monday afternoon in the Alta Gardens Mobile Home Park on Chickadee Drive.

It started first as a fistfight, but then in a second altercation, Lemaire stabbed Himes in the side with a knife.

Himes was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say Lemaire fled the scene. They caught up with him in an abandoned trailer at the Green Mountain Trailer Park Tuesday morning. He is being held without bail.
