BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) - A New Hampshire man has pleaded not guilty to repeatedly assaulting a 2-year-old boy last year in Vermont.
Joshua Gilbeau of Grafton has been charged with first-degree aggravated domestic assault.
The Bennington Banner reports the 34-year-old Gilbeau had been serving time in the Cheshire House of Corrections in Keene, N.H., on unrelated charges until his transport to Vermont to face the charges there.
The investigation started after police received a report that the boy was being treated for multiple injuries at a hospital in December.
Police said the victim has suffered a concussion, a lacerated liver, a fractured rib, a bloody nose and a broken arm.
