BURLINGTON, Vt. -
The progressive party says it's not sure if it would support a new winner in the gubernatorial primary following a recount.
Party Chair Martha Abbott appears to have won the August 28th primary by one vote over write-in candidate Annette Smith, who is seeking a recount.
Abbott declined the nomination to support Governor Peter Shumlin and says the focus now is to win more seats in the Vermont House and Senate.
