NORTHFIELD, Vt. -
The Cadets Women's Rugby team is hard at work, returning to the pitch after winning a pair of National Championships last season. Norwich throttled their opponents throughout the season, and even in the Division II National Championship game, defeating Winona State 82-12. The Cadets domination in Division II rugby, prompted a move to Division One.
Moving up to Division One means a whole new slate of opponents for Norwich and that includes West Point, a team that won the National Championship just 2 seasons ago. This Saturday at the Dog River Pitch, the Cadets will host West Point for an all-military match-up.
The Cadets will be out in full force to battle for Army bragging rights at 11 a.m. Saturday in Northfield.
