
MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Flags will be lowered to half-staff at federal and state buildings in Vermont to mark the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the United States.
Tuesday is Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance, in which Americans are urged to engage in charitable service as a tribute to the victims and survivors of the attack.
Flags will be lowered at the Vermont State House and all federal, state and public buildings and grounds around Vermont throughout the day.
