BURLINGTON, Vt. -
It could be considered the hottest liquor around and it's bottled in Shoreham. WhistlePig Whiskey is getting rave reviews.
Raj Bhakta started WhistlePig. He came to Vermont after a failed congressional campaign in Pennsylvania and appearing on Donald Trump's TV show, "The Apprentice." Bhakta says he's the new face of farming. Watch the video for more.
Although WhistlePig is made with Canadian rye, Bhakta says he wants to use Vermont-grown Rye. This year they planted 300 acres and he hopes to have WhistlePig become the first U.S. whiskey company where everything is done in one place from the growing to the distillation to the aging to the bottling. A bottle of WhistlePig costs $65.
