MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -

A public hearing will be held Sept. 12 in Middlebury to discuss mosquito problems in Addison County.

With the recent discovery of mosquitoes carrying the deadly Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) virus, the county's regional planning commission will host a panel discussion on the threat posed by mosquito-borne diseases.

Officials from the state health and agriculture departments will be on hand. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at Middlebury College's McCardell Bicentennial Hall.
