Assault investigation leads police to suspected drug dealers

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

The investigation into an assault and robbery in Burlington led police to a pair of suspected narcotics dealers.

Christopher Morales, 24, and Michael Vasquez, 31, both of New York City, were arrested early Wednesday morning on charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and heroin. They are also charged with assault and burglary after police say they broke into an apartment on St. Paul Street and attacked two female acquaintances and stole money from them.
