BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Shane Meaney has been on the CBS show Big Brother since July, but Thursday night the Bennington resident was voted out of the house.

The show started with a dozen contestants living together in the Big Brother house with everything recorded.  They compete for $500,000 and strive to not be voted out.

Meaney says he was kicked out because he was double crossed and is too trusting.

"When I shake someone's hand and I look them in the eye, I take that as consideration, the same thing when they look me in the eye and say they're going to do what they're going to do, I trust them full heartedly. Maybe that was my mistake," he said.

Meaney is a Lyndon State grad. When he's not on national TV he is a personal trainer and model who also renovates and sells homes.
