LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. -
Asian clams have been found in Lake
George near the entrance way to Lake Champlain.
In all, the invasive clams were found
in four locations on Lake George.
Asian clams create
water quality problems when they take hold in a body of water.
Scientists
believe someone dumped a few dozen of the clams in Lake George a few years ago,
and efforts to get rid of them have been unsuccessful.
