BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont middle school under renovations is scheduled to reopen on Monday.
The project at Bellows Falls Middle School included replacing and upgrading the mechanical and electrical systems in the building and remodeling classroom areas.
The school's 257 pupils in grades 5 through 8 will be getting back for the first time since June.
The school was supposed to open on Aug. 28, then on Monday, Sept. 10. Officials said failure to pass a fire alarm and sprinkler system inspection forced them to move the date to Sept. 17.
Some areas of the school, such as the cafeteria, will still not be ready for students for a couple of weeks.
