Gov. Peter Shumlin, D-Vermont, is out of state raising money for his re-election.
Paul Heintz is reporting in Seven Days' political blog that a prominent businessman and gay activist in Los Angeles is hosting a fundraiser for the governor. Shumlin will also appear on a California Public Television show to talk about health care reform.
The governor headed west Thursday. But the blog reports that Shumlin's staff tweeted about the Tunbridge Fair Friday and included a photo of the governor at the fair, but it is from last year.
Shumlin is due back in Vermont Saturday.
