
SHELBURNE, Vt. (AP) - Twenty-five people are scheduled to become U.S. citizens during a ceremony on the steamship Ticonderoga at Vermont's Shelburne Museum.
U.S. District Court Judge William Sessions will preside over the Monday afternoon ceremony.
The Vermont ceremony is 1 of 158 such ceremonies across the country this week that will welcome more than 32,000 new U.S. citizens in recognition of Constitution Day and Citizenship Day.
Constitution Day and Citizenship Day is celebrated on Sept. 17 in remembrance of the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787.
