MONTPELIER, Vt. -
There will be yet another push to move up Vermont's primary.
This year the primary for state office was moved up from September to August.
Vermont's elections director says this is the second consecutive election cycle in which a primary recount has cut it close to the federal deadline. General election ballots need to be mailed out 45 days before election day to military and other overseas voters.
Any changes would need to be approved by the Legislature.
