History found at North Beach

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

A historic discovery off the shores of North Beach in Burlington.

Maritime Museum officials say a 19th century anchor was found by boaters on Sunday.

They say it probably came from one of the canal boats that carried cargo on the lake in the 1800s, and will now be taken to the General Butler canal boat shipwreck site in the south end of the Burlington breakwater.
