PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -
Plattsburgh International Airport won more than $6.5 million to undergo a major expansion.
The FAA awarded the grants to Plattsburgh's airport to add on six more jetways, a project that is going to ultimately cost $40 million-$50 million.
The Press-Republican reports about half money will go toward that project, while the other half will be put towards sewer and runway upgrades.
Construction on the terminal expansion is slated to begin next spring.
