Rutland police search for armed robbers

RUTLAND, Vt. -

Rutland City Police are searching for two gunmen they say held up eight residents at 42 Cleveland Avenue at gunpoint over the weekend.

The Rutland Herald reports the gunmen made off with $7 and a couple cellphones. Both men are described at black men in their early 40s. Authorities say the suspects then jumped into a gold SUV with Vermont plates that was driven by a third man. Anyone with information should call police.
