Two North Country school districts are getting thousands of dollars in a big fraud settlement over school lunches.
The Malone Central School district will get $60,315 and the Northeastern Clinton Central School district will get more than $163,706 from food contractor Compass Group USA. The money is part of an $18 million settlement with New York State.
The attorney general says for 7 years Compass USA got discounts from food vendors, but then kept the money rather than passing it on to school districts.
