WINOOSKI, Vt. -
A warning to Winooski River users: the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service says it is treating the river with lampricides.
Water-use advisories will be up starting early Friday morning from the Winooski One Dam in Winooski, downstream to the river mouth and surrounding lakeshore to the Colchester rail fill and to Lone Rock Point in Burlington.
Lake water in that area should not be used while the advisory is in effect, which could last for up to eight days.
