UVM employees vote to unionize

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Hundreds of University of Vermont employees voted to unionize.

The vote Wednesday was 339-278.

The workers are technicians, research and library support staff, and others who earn overtime.

But there was no clear choice as to what union they will join. There will be a runoff election.
