PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -
Incumbent Janet Duprey is the official winner of the Republican primary for New York's 115th Assembly seat.
Election officials in Clinton, Franklin and St. Lawrence counties counted absentee ballots Thursday morning. Some 540 needed to be counted across the three counties.
On election night, Duprey defeated challenger Karen Bisso by 488 votes, but the 540 absentee ballots still had to be counted.
In the final tally with the absentee ballots counted, Duprey defeated Bisso by 612 votes.
