Rutland public safety says no to marijuana dispensaries

RUTLAND, Vt. -

Rutland has added itself to the list of Vermont municipalities saying no to marijuana dispensaries.

The Public Safety Committee voted unanimously to against both dispensaries and the cultivation of marijuana for those dispensaries.

The Rutland Herald reports that move has the backing of the police commission and the police chief.

The measure will be voted on by the Board of Aldermen at a later date.
