New protests over anti-Islam film turn deadly

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

A protest by tens of thousands of Pakistanis over an anti-Islam film turned deadly Friday.

Police fired tear gas and guns after rioters threw rocks and set fire to buildings. Some 15 people reportedly died; more than 100 were injured. There were also protests in at least half a dozen other countries.

Gregory Gause is an expert on the Middle East and a political science professor at the University of Vermont. He appeared on The :30 to discuss the violence. Watch the video for more.
