DUMMERSTON, Vt. -
A New Jersey man is behind bars, accused of trafficking Heroin in our region.
32-year-old Eugene Williams-Rice was stopped on Interstate 91 in Dummerston for expired registration. Police say he was also smoking marijuana. During a search of the vehicle; police located 510 bags of heroin, approximately a half ounce of marijuana, a more than 2-thousand in cash. Williams-Rice is being held at the Southern State Correction Facility for lack of $50-thousand dollars bail.
