WEST BURKE, Vt. -
In West Burke, police are on the hunt for a man who tried to rob a store with a knife.
It happened around 5:45 Sunday night at Aldrich's General Store on Route 5A.
State Police say a man entered the store holding a knife and demanded money.
Police say the the clerk then ran from the store and yelled for help. The suspect left empty-handed and took off in a blue Chevy Lumina.
The suspect is described as a man in his early 20s about five foot ten, 134 pounds-- wearing a black and white sweatshirt and a red bandana over his face. He's also said to have a red scratch under his left eye.
