It was a Twin State Homecoming this week at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Five crew members, including two crew chiefs, hail from Vermont and were happy to return to New Hampshire on NASCAR's biggest stage.
Crew chiefs Dave Rogers and Shane Wilson also have Vermonters on their side in the pits. Wilson, recently switched from Kevin Harvick's team to take over Paul Menard's 27-car, where Sharon, Vermont's Erik Pringle works as a Front Tire-Carrier.
Dave Rogers has Fairfax native Nate Bellows on his crew working on the 18-car of Kyle Busch.
A former high-school classmate of Bellows' is Rick Pigeon, a Setup Mechanic for Tony Stewart. One of the highlights of Pigeon's career, seeing the number-14 claim a Sprint Cup Championship last season.
Pigeon is in the hunt for back-to-back championships with Stewart as the Chase continues next week in Dover.
