VERGENNES, Vt. -
Vergennes senior Devin Hayes scored 2 goals in the final 2 minutes of the first half to lead the Commodores to a 3-0 win over Lamoille Monday Afternoon. The game remained scoreless through the first 43 minutes thanks to the goaltending of Lamoille Keeper Bennett Anderson who was under pressure early and often.
Both of Hayes' goals came off of centering passes from Timmy Johnston. The Goals were 45 seconds apart. In the 57th minute, Vergennes scored it's third goal. After a long lead pass, Senior Harry Senesac's header hit the post, but Senior Ed Devino was there to put a head on the rebound for the goal.
