BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A 47-year-old Vermont man is going to prison for almost seven years for transporting child pornography.
Federal prosecutors say Chris Eric Duval, of Burlington, was sentenced Monday.
Court documents say Duval knowingly transported child pornography by using his computer. The documents say Duval put the child pornography on his computer in a way that made files available to the public through a file sharing program.
He also sent child pornography to others using instant messenger services.
Duval was arrested in February. He pleaded guilty in June.
This case was investigated by the South Burlington Police Department, the Chittenden Unit for Special Investigations, the Vermont Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and Homeland Security Investigations.
